Job Description

The Stadium Custodian is a vital team member of the Stadium Operations team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for guests and staff. This role ensures all areas of the facility, including seating, suites, offices, and common spaces, meet established standards of cleanliness and presentation. Custodians support event readiness, uphold safety protocols, and contribute to a positive experience for everyone in the stadium.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Clean and maintain all stadium areas, including offices, suites, restrooms, and public spaces, using proper methods and equipment
  • Care for stadium equipment and property by storing items properly, cleaning regularly, reporting damage, and notifying management of any misuse
  • Keep custodial storage areas organized and ensure supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper are stocked throughout the facility
  • Assist with inventory tracking for janitorial supplies and paper products
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including vacuums, carpet extractors, and floor buffers
  • Adhere to department procedures for handling cleaning chemicals, operating equipment, maintaining supply rooms, and managing hazardous materials safely
  • Perform additional cleaning and operational tasks as assigned by supervisors or management 

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently while around other large groups
  • Cleaning and custodial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and operation of equipment preferred
  • Must be at least 16 years old

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Work Hours                                                          

Hours vary according to the game and event schedule, which will include weekends and some holidays.

Must have availability to work most games and special events
