Job Description

The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchenware, food preparation areas, and equipment within the food and beverage department. This position supports overall kitchen operations by ensuring that dishes, pots, pans, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned, organized, and readily available, contributing to a safe, efficient, and team-orientated kitchen environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes, pots, pans and trays, then washes them by hand or using a dishwashing machine to ensure cleanliness and sanitation
  • Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth
  • Maintain temperature and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards
  • Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other prep surfaces
  • Removes trash and places it in designated containers; cleans garbage cans using steam or hose
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks or other duties as needed to support food service operations

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prior dishwashing experience preferred
  • Must be able to maintain a neat appearance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Work Hours                                                          

Hours vary according to the game and event schedule, which will include weekends and some holidays.
