Job Description

As part of Community Relations Department, the Coordinator – Community Relations will play a key role in connecting the Club with the community and enhancing the fan experience inside the ballpark and beyond. This position supports the development, coordination, and execution of community outreach programs, fan engagement initiatives, and special events that reflect the Club’s commitment to making a positive impact throughout the community.

 

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the Club’s annual fan initiatives including Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award, Hometown Champion Award, and RBI Athlete of the Month.
  • Assist with the preparation, coordination, and execution of Community Relations projects, special events, fundraisers, and programs throughout the season and offseason.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Marketing, Game Day Operations, and Corporate Partnerships to align community initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Support game day experiences, including pregame ceremonies, in-game recognitions, and fan experiences.
  • Oversee the monthly nonprofit awareness tables during the season.  
  • Gather and evaluate feedback and data from programs and initiatives to assess effectiveness and uncover areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate the in-kind donation process and the inventory of donation items.
  • Oversee the Community Relations webpage is updated on a regular basis.
  • Assist with the Beyond the Diamond volunteer program, including recruitment, scheduling, and recognition.
  • Accompany staff, players, alumni, and Brewers Families to community events and appearances as needed.
  • Fill in as a Childcare Attendant in the Brewers Family Room as needed.
  • Attend nonprofit fundraising events/galas/luncheons to strengthen the ballclub’s reach into the community as needed.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth execution of community programs and departmental functions.
  • Participate in monthly scheduled MLB community affairs zoom meetings.
  • Provide other administrative support to Community Relations staff, as needed.

 The ideal candidate will have one to three years of related experience, as well as the ability to have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Candidates with the ability to speak Spanish are preferred.
