  • Overview

    Summary   This position is responsible for tracking shipments and maintaining a safe environment for at Miller Park.  This position will work with all entities that receive shipments at Miller Park and provide support to Miller Park Operations team.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.

    • Oversee two loading docks at Miller Park working with warehouse staff, stadium operations, security and other entities within the ballpark.
    • Serve as a point of contact for all deliveries.
    • Stopping all carrier vehicles before they enter the building and checking manifests to ensure validity.
    • Reaching out to contacts on manifests to inform addressees of deliveries and confirm they are expected.
    • Obtaining and confirming proper identification of delivery personnel and updating the Loading Dock Log before access is granted.
    • Screening and verifying contents of vehicles before they enter the building, including using mirror wands to inspect undercarriages of vehicles.
    • Assist with unloading and loading trucks when needed including major event load ins.
    • Enforce all MLB/BSOP policies on game days. Communicating issues to Sr. Director of Security

    Qualifications

    Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Must be able to physically lift 75 lbs
    • Must have a flexible working schedule including holidays, weekends and Brewers home games
    • Forklift and warehouse equipment experience required.

    Education and/or Experience

    One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Computer Skills  

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.    

    Language Skills                                                

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

     

    Mathematical Skills                                                     

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    Reasoning Ability                               

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud/moderate/quiet.

     

    Work Hours                                                     

    Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays.
