  • Overview

    The Spring Training Day of Game staff will be a seasonal part time position during the Spring Training Season located at the Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training Facility.  This individual will be responsible for any duties related to fan experience during Spring Training and will report to the Manager of Spring Training Business Operations.

    Responsibilities

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.

    • Greet fans and Provide Guest Service to fans based on questions presented
    • Sell tickets to fans at ticket window and scan tickets at entrance gates
    • Readily accesses, interprets and understands all journal account information on the ticketing system.
    • Reconciles day of game sales reports for accounting in the ticketing system.
    • Maintains current knowledge of account functions, discount codes, price types, payment codes, and problem solving or research-oriented commands in the ticketing system.
    • Perform assigned tasks on day of game, which may be different than ticket office
    • Day of game only duties will include all in-game promotions, such as Sausage Races, bobble head giveaway, program sales etc.
    • Assist in all day of game promotions such as theme days or events
    • Ability to work the sound system to play music during before and after games, during innings, pitching changes and in game promotions
    • Scoreboard operator in charge of line score, line up, at bat notifications and digital effects
    • Ability to work well with co-workers and towards team goals
    • This is a temporary position that will commence in mid-February, 2019.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Previous experience in customer service is preferred, but not required.
    • A friendly, courteous and tactful demeanor.
    • A professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Problem solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
    • Punctual and reliable attendance.
    • Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.

     

    Education and/or Experience

    One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Computer Skills  

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

    Other Skills and Abilities        

    Bilingual skills are a plus but not required

     

    Language Skills                                                

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

     

    Mathematical Skills                                                     

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    Reasoning Ability      

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Work Hours                                                     

    Hours vary according to the game and event schedule.  Maximum of 30 hours per week.
