  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Retail Store Managers, this role will be responsible to assist in providing direction to all sales associates in accordance with the Club’s customer service, sales, and applicable operation standards at any of the Milwaukee Brewers Retail Stores or Portables.  This is a part-time year round position that requires availability on weekdays/weekends/holidays and ranges from morning shifts to evening shifts.  Responsibilities consist of supervision of sales associates, cashiering, stocking, customer service and other retail needs.

    • Greets and acknowledges all customers
    • Maintains retail store/portable standards, policies and procedures
    • Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the retail stores/portables
    • Assists customers, offers excellent customer service and generates retail sales
    • Assists management by monitoring retail sales floor and cash wrap areas in all store locations
    • Works with Store Management to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained within the given location throughout the stadium
    • If cashiering, processes sales through the POS system, bags merchandise, follows all register procedures and handles cash accordingly
    • Verifies register balance at the beginning and the end of each shift
    • Ensures that all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed
    • Assists in the restocking and arranges merchandise on shelves Sets aside and notifies management of defective, mismarked, mislabeled, incorrectly priced, shopworn or damaged merchandise
    • Watches for and recognizes security risks, thefts, and reports this to security/management
    • Assists with ad hoc retail tasks as needed

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    • Retail supervision experience preferred (minimum of one year)
    • Previous cash handling experience required
    • Prior experience working with point of sale (POS) system required
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • College degree in business or management preferred

    Computer Skills  

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and the internet.    

     

    Language Skills                                                

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

     

    Mathematical Skills                                                     

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    Reasoning Ability      

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
