  • Overview

    The Vice President – Partnership Activation & Strategy is responsible for the strategy and leadership of the partnership activation team, managing the development of best-in-class partnership platforms and sponsorship activation for Brewers partners, while serving as member of the organization’s leadership team.

    • Lead the planning and implementation of best-in-class sponsor activation practices
    • Act as liaison with Brewers business strategy and analytics department providing sales team with relevant data to support partner presentations
    • Oversight of sales materials to ensure partnership marketing and sales materials are in alignment with Brewers marketing departments brand vision to provide a consistent, uniform look to outgoing presentation materials
    • Assist with the development of integrated partnership platforms to assist the sales team in meeting partner objectives
    • Inspire and mentor partnership marketing team with the goal of forming a team that can act as “marketing consultants” for their assigned partners
    • Work with internal strategy and analytics department and external partners to measure key metrics to ensure partner ROI and ROO
    • Develop partner communication plan to drive touchpoints for regular contact throughout the calendar year
    • Oversee partner hospitality and event opportunities, including annual Spring Training and road trips
    • Complete all duties otherwise assigned.

    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
    • Previous experience in managing multiple direct reports
    • Ability to provide leadership, focus, and organization for the department
    • Understanding of the sports business landscape
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage various projects simultaneously
    • Proven leadership and decision-making skills. Ability to lead a team of people to produce the best possible work for team partners.
    • Ability to present, interact and influence C-Level decision makers
    • Financial acumen in order to manages expenses associated with partnership agreements

     Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Sports Management
    • Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of related experience in marketing strategy, sponsorship marketing, or experiential marketing

    Computer Skills  

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.    


    Language Skills                                             

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Mathematical Skills                                                   

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


    Reasoning Ability      

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Work Hours                                                  

    Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays.
