The Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club is seeking a Senior Manager – Data Science to build and develop the data science capabilities for the Club’s Business Operations. The Senior Manager – Data Science will work closely with the Vice President – Strategy & Analytics and the rest of the Strategy & Analytics team, as well as the IT department, to research, develop and test mathematical, statistical, and predictive models to support all departments across Business Operations.

Education and/or Experience
Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent, with Ph.D. preferred, in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Computer Science (Machine Learning), or a related field; minimum of five years’ work experience in mathematical, statistical, and predictive modeling (optimization, statistics, and machine learning)
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have strong working experience in scripting languages such as Python or R (Python preferred); SQL and relational databases; visualization tools such as Tableau; individual should also have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Employee will be expected to attend 3 – 5 industry conferences per year, with occasional ad hoc travel as needed.
Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays.
