Baseball Admin/Operations


The Manager of Spring Training Business Operations will be a full-time position, located at Maryvale Baseball Park. This individual will work closely with the General Manager on day-to-day business operations, while also managing game day personnel during all Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training home games.

  • Sponsorship Sales –
    • Help drive new business at Maryvale Baseball Park
    • Maintain the relationship and activation of all existing partnerships
    • Develop and maintain all sponsorship contracts
    • Oversee the sponsorship budget, and develop weekly reports for the General Manager
  • Ticket Operations –
    • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the ticket office
    • Hiring of part time ticketing staff, including ticketing operations and ticket takers
    • Develop reports (game day only) for tracking employee hours
    • Report daily box office figures (game day only) to the General Manager
    • Inventory and purchasing of necessary ticketing supplies and equipment
  • Marketing –
    • Develop partnerships in the Maryvale Community to assist in marketing Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training home games
    • Work with Grand Canyon University in the development of collaborative highway billboards
  • Game Day Operations –
    • Oversee the hiring of all ushers
    • Oversee the hiring of guest services
    • Oversee the hiring of in-game entertainment (PA, Video Board, Scoreboard, On-Field Promotions)
    • Utilize ABI for detailed tracking and reporting of seasonal/part-time employee hours
    • Develop and update a game-by-game PA Script
    • Assist with the development of all game day and marketing collateral
      • Programs
      • Pocket Schedules
      • Online information, as it pertains to Spring Training
      • Stadium Guest Guides
      • Stadium Directional Signs and Maps
    • Oversee game day media/staff meals
  • Collaboration –
    • Work closely with the General Manager on the following:
      • 2019 Parking – Enhanced community partnerships to allow for safe, additional parking on game days
      • Continued, and progressive movement to enhance the overall fan experience at Maryvale Baseball Park
      • Assist the General Manager and Senior Manager of Multicultural Marketing with community development initiatives in Maryvale

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree is preferred
  • 2-4 years in a related position is preferred
  • High level of demonstrated professionalism and integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good relationships with clients, sponsors and staff members 
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and quotas
  • Demonstrated quick learner with ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. 
  • Must be a team player, self-starter, assertive and professional

Computer Skills  

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.    


Language Skills                                                          

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Mathematical Skills                                                   

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability      

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Work Hours                                                 

Regular business office hours are Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekend, evenings and some holidays.
