Overview

The Coordinator – Box Office will help manage box office operations as well as assist with ticket plans and packages for businesses and individuals. Duties will include operation of E-tix ticketing system, processing ticket sale orders and overseeing game day staff, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Using E-Tix ticketing system to build and maintain performances and packages for box office and online sales
  • Assist the Manager of Ticket Package Sales in growing season ticket and mini plan accounts for businesses and individuals
  • Process advance ticket sale orders
  • Work in the ticket booths assisting customers with the purchase of tickets as well as advance ticket sales
  • Collect and report game day ticket totals
  • Schedule and oversee game day staff and Box Office Assistant
  • Distribute Mudcats information designed to help increase attendance at games and events
  • Aid the overall efforts of the Mudcats in maximizing the collection and use of e-mail addresses, and fan data with the goal of selling more tickets to games and events
  • Make sales calls to individuals from the collected data for mini plans and season tickets
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Managers
  • Pull tarp on field as necessary

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education and/or Experience

Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a college or university; and two or more year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Computer Skills  

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.    

 

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Availability to work all games and events, including office hours.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Outgoing personality and experience with customer service is a plus
  • Willingness to learn ticket sales and operations
  • Experience using e-tix or other ticketing systems is preferred

Language Skills                                             

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills                                                   

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability      

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

Work Hours                                                  

Business hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may vary according to the game and event schedule.
